Li Xiaoping, doctor of engineering, is a full professor (doctoral supervisor) and the executive director of the School of Aerospace Science and Technology (SAST). Prof. Li is an academic leader in field of measurement and control in Shaanxi province. She is a member of the steering committee of Xidian university, and the chief technology officer of key special projects on fundamental theory. She is also a committee in the academic board of the laboratory of space physics. Prof. Li has taken the teaching and researching job in Xidian University since 1982. From 1998 to 1999, she had been visited the Shizuoka University in Japan for academic exchange. She acquired her doctoral degree in 2004. Prof. Li supervises both master and Ph.D. students in field of measurement technology. She also supervises master students in discipline of electronics and system. In 2009, Prof. Li is employed as a committee of the panel of a national 973 project. She is elected to be a specialist in the research group of measurement communication of a national major project in the year of 2010. Since 2012, she has become the chief technology officer of the measurement communication group of a key special project. In 2013, backed by research group led by Prof. Li, the project “Theory of Information Transformation for the Near Space Aircraft under the Plasma Sheath Set” has successfully declared the national 973 project for civil use. Currently, her research interests include, but not limited to, measurement and communication, information processing, fundamental theory and key technologies for network and detection.
